McCullars, of Delta, Ala., were found beside the track of the Southern railway near the plant of the American Net and Twine mill. His death was very probably caused by the man falling to sleep on the track and being struck by a passing train. His skull was crushed in and he was otherwise mangled. The remain were turned over to Coroner J. S. Murphy and prepared for burial. The wife and children of the deceased came from Delta to the city yesterday and the funeral will take place this morning, with interment at Four Mile cemetery. It is thought he was going to the home of his father-in-law, Mr. W. F. Roberts, north of the city and sat down by the railroad track and fell asleep.
