C. McCullers, while in the prime of young manhood, strong, bale and hearty, he found himself the victim of affliction. The fourth day it had overcome him, and he lay low in the icy grip of death. This young man was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. McCullers. He was 25 years of age and had lived in this community all his life. He had won for himself the name of one of the best young men in this section. He was bright spirited, and his life was full of sunshine. He was kind and thoughtful of his father and mother, in fact kind to all who knew him. His Sunday School class selected him as their teacher about nine months ago, where he had efficiently served with credit to himself and class. We were all predicting for him a long and useful life in the home, community and church. There is an important place made vacant and for a time we will greatly miss him, we feel that our loss, as great as it is, is his eternal gain. Therefore, Id's submit to him who doeth all things well. This young man leaves a father and mother, four brothers, two sisters, and a number of friends to mourn his death. His remains were laid to rest in New Harmony cemetery, the 7th of March. Services by Rev. G. O. Lankford and the writer and witnessed by multitude of friends. B. W.
