He was taken very ill at 11:00 a m and died at 3:00 p.m. the same day. Bro. McCullough was one of the pioneers of this section of this country having settled in Delta sixty-eight years ago where he remained until his death. He was married first to Miss Malinda Reagan to which marriage there were born five children. He was married the second time to Mrs. Mariah McClintock and the third time, to Mrs. Francis E. Snow to which marriage there were born three children. He was a kind friend and loyal husband and a considerate father to his children. He was raised to the degree of Master Mason in 1856 and was a charter member of Hardy-Howle Lodge No. 459 where he held his membership until he was called to join the great Lodge above. He was a soldier in the Confederate Army and was true to his country; He was a member of the Christian church and was true to his convictions until death. His funeral was preached by Revs Asa Hobbs, A G Preston and J A Shadix with others taking part. His remains were interred in Delta cemetery with Masonic honors.
