Anniston Star
Henry Thornton McKay, 87, of Delta, died Wednesday in Delta after a short 
illness. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Black's Chapel United 
Methodist Church with the Rev. Hobert Murphee, the James Duke and the Rev. Joe 
Hatcher officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Blair Brown-
Service Funeral Home in charge. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Frances 
McKay; four daughters, Mrs. Doris Tidmore of Mrs. Gladys Gibson of Guntersville, 
Mrs. Nina Harris and Mrs. Ina East, both of Lineville; three sons, Millard McKay 
and Hubert McKay, both of Lineville, and Charles McKay of Wadley; a sister, Mrs. 
Maggie Pirkle of Montgomery 23 grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren. 
Pallbearers will be Don McKay, Eugene Harris, Dennis East, Roger Harris, 
Mitchell McKay and Bloyce Harris. Mr. McKay was a native of Clay County and 
lived in the Delta Community and was a retired farmer.
