Ashland Progress
Walton Wallace McLeroy twelve-year-old son of R. M. McLeroy of Fairview, died at 
his home Tuesday night. He attended school as usual Tuesday. After returning home 
he was stricken with Meningitis and spotted fever which proved fatal in just a 
few hours, four brothers, two sisters and father survive him. Interment will be 
at Fairview Friday.

Note: The date on the headstone is Apr 25, 1936, the newspaper obit dated Mar 26, 
1936, would make this death date Mar 24, 1936.
