Clay County Watchman
Ida Lee Finch, daughter of Marcellus W. Finch, died Aug. 11, 1888, after having 
been an invalid pretty much all her life. She was a little over two years old and 
died easy. She was quite a sensible little child and a cousin to little Clarie 
Mellon daughter of Robert Mellon, Esq.t another beautiful, sweet little girl who 
died Dec. 8, 1886, both on Talladega Creek, this county. These sweet little 
children are through with the pains of this life, and have, gone to their 
peaceful homes to, rest with Jesus throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity, for 
Jesus said, "suffer little children to come unto me, for of such is the kingdom 
of heaven," and they have gone to him.
