Melton, wife of the assistant manager for here, died last Thursday morning at Russell Hospital following a three-week illness. Funeral services were held at Bethel church Friday morning at 11 o'clock with Rev. Cecil Ray and Rev. E.E. Laney in charge of the services with Radney directing. She is survived by her husband, mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Daughtery, of route two brothers, Thomas, of North Carolina and Allie, of Reeltown. Four sisters, Mrs. Raleigh Corr, of Opelika; Mrs. H.H. Bradbury, Kingston; Mrs. H. G. Birchfield, New Site and Miss Myrtle Daughtery, of route 3. Sympathy is extended the bereaved.
