Mrs. H. L. Messer. 50, Delta, Rt. 1. died yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock at her 
residence. Funeral services were to be held today at 2:30 o'clock, at Bethel 
Church near Delta, the Rev. Will Sprayberry officiating. Jones in charge. Burial 
was to be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Messer is survived by her husband. H. L. 
Messer: her father, Jim Cheatwood of Delta; and one brother, Lonnie Cheatwood of 
Anniston. Her nephews were to serve as pallbearers.
