Ashand Progress
WHEREAS, it has pleased Almighty God to remove from our midst our brother, J. W. 
Wilier, who died at Mellow Valley, Alabama, on the 22nd day of March 1913, and 
whereas, he was a true Christian gentleman. a beloved brother, and member of 
Ashland Lodge, A. F.A for many years, and whereas, during the greater portion of 
the time of his membership therein, he was Treasurer of said Lodge, and 
faithfully discharged his duties in said trust, and whereas, by his death we 
have lost a true Christian man and good citizen, and faithful member of our 
order: 
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED 
lst That in his death we have sustained a great loss, not only to our Lodge, but 
to each personal member thereof. 
2nd That we will so emulate his life that when the final summons comes, we will 
meet him in that Lodge above. 
3rd That his family and relatives have our deepest sympathy in their 
bereavement.
4th That these resolutions be spread upon the Minutes of our Lodge, a copy be 
sent to his family, be published in the newspapers of Clay County, Alabama.
