P. Mills, commonly known as "Pink" Mills, and a former resident of Clay County died at his home near Section in Jackson County, on the 5th of January, and his remains were brought back to Clay for burial beside his sister and father who preceded him to the He resided many years in Delta Beat, before moving to North Alabama. If he had lived until the 17th of January, he would have been 86 years old. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. B. W. Mathews, assisted by Reverends W. M. Garrett, W. L. Sprayberry and G. F. Daugherty. Each paying fitting tributes to the life and character of this good man. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Josephine Mills, Section; one daughter, Mrs. Veda Rogers, Birmingham, and three sons, Willie Mills, Union City, Marshall Mills, Birmingham, and Ivon Mills, Section. He has a number of other relatives living in this part of Alabama, including two half-brothers, Rev. F. J. Ingram, Ashland, and Rev. S. J. Ingram of Talladega, and two half-sisters, Mrs. E. S. Haynie and Mrs. B. W. Mathews, both of Lineville. After funeral services his body was committed to earth in the large cemetery at Shiloh-Delta, Bartlett of Collinsville in charge.
