Ashland Progress
Last rites for Mr. Jack Milstead 76, of Lineville R. 3, were held at Concord 
Baptist Church on December 25th at 2 o'clock p.m. conducted by Rev. Hardy. 
Interment was in adjoining cemetery with Blair Funeral Directors in charge. 
Pallbearers were Danner Milstead, Gaither Milstead, Carl Watts Terrell Mitchell, 
Lamar Rollins, Ellis Gidley. Mr. Milstead passed away at his home on the morning 
of Dec 24th. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Milstead, three sons, Tony 
and Cecil of Anniston and Calvin of Ashland; six daughters, Mrs. Geneva 
Mitchell, Lineville Rt. 3; Mrs. Neely Woodruff, Opoka, Fla. Mrs. Rosie 
Cunningham, Alexander City; Mrs. Lois Gidley, Oxford; Mrs. Mollie Mitchell, 
Lineville Rt. 3; Mrs. Mildred Watts, Bowdon, Ga. Thirty-eight grandchildren and 
forty-four great grandchildren.
