Ashland Progress
Funeral rites for Mrs. Nora Lee Mitchell of Pensacola, Fla., were held at 
Campbells Crossroads Church on Aug. 9th at 2 o'clock p.m., conducted by Rev. A. 
O Burdette. Interment was in nearby cemetery with Blair Funeral Directors in 
charge. Pallbearers were Hubert, Buford and Chester Mitchell, Donald and Billy 
Hart, Pasco Botts, Paul Parker, Harold Mitchell. Flower girls were Omie 
Campbell, Dorothy Smith, Mavis Mitchell. Mrs. Mitchell passed away at her home 
in Pensacola on Aug. 6th at the age of 65, following a lengthy illness. She was 
a former resident of Clay County. Survivors include three sons, Herman C., Billy 
and Bob Mitchell; three daughters, Mrs. Claudia Hart, Mrs. Grace Knowles and 
Mrs. Thelma Cutts. Three stepsons, Grady, Warren and Thurman Mitchell; one 
stepdaughter, Mrs. Audie Medley; one half-sister, Mrs. Minnie Bell Moore three 
half-brothers, William, L. D. and L. J. Campbell. A large number of 
grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was buried in Mineral Springs Cemetery, Clay County, AL.
