Ashland Progress
In Clay County recorded one holiday fatality when Miss Cummie Mitchell, age 42, 
was killed Friday night. The car in which she was riding left the Lineville 
Ashland highway and struck a tree in the yard of Mr. H. H. Summerlin. 
Graveside services were held at Barfield with Rev. Hobart Murphy and Rev. Clyde 
Latham officiating.

Additional Comments:
She was the daughter Robert S.H. Mitchell & Elizabeth Mitchell. She was born in 
Randolph County Alabama. 
Her grave is unmarked.
