Funeral services for Thomas Lewis Mitchell, 19. of Delta, will be held this 
afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Good-Hope, Delta Baptist Church by the Revs. O. 
D. Parker end G. W. Workman. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery, Blair 
Funeral Home directing. Mr. Mitchell, a graduate of Heflin High School, died at 
his home yesterday morning following a brief illness. He was a member of the 
Good-Hope Delta Baptist Church and the Delta Lodge No. 84. I.O.O.F. Surviving 
are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Mitchell; three brothers, James, Alvis and 
Kenneth Mitchell; three sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Buckhannon, Mrs. H. B. Adams and 
Mrs. J. C. Johnson, all of Delta, and his grandfather, J. J. Miller. Pallbearers 
will be his uncles, Lewis Mitchell and Gaston. R. C., J. J., Hilton and Ercial 
Miller.
