Little Kenneth Ray Mitchell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Mitchell, died Saturday at 
2:30 p.m., only yards from his home in a two-car collision involving his 
brothers. The same accident sent his three brothers to a hospital, one listed 
critically.  In the Clay County mishap, according to State Trooper Jack Whatley, 
the Mitchell child had accompanied his brothers, Sparkie, 17, and Terrel, 14, to 
Ashland for a haircut. As they returned home, their vehicle and one driven by 
another brother, Earl, 19, headed toward Ashland collided on a small rise on the 
Watts-Mill Road, only a few, yards from the boy's home. The three surviving 
brothers were taken to Clay County Hospital where they were admitted. Terrel was 
later transferred to Birmingham due to his critical condition.

The child was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Clay County, AL.
