Services for Mrs. Flossie M. Mitchell, 71, of Delta will be today at 2 p.m. at 
Good Hope Delta Baptist Church with the Rev. Troy Williamson, the Rev. John 
Whetstone and the Rev. Grady Harris officiating. Burial will be in the 
adjoining; cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge.  Mrs. Mitchell died 
Friday at Carraway Methodist Center in Birmingham after a long illness. 
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Vista Adams of Delta and Mrs. Jane Johnson 
of Oxford; three sons, James Mitchell, Alvis Mitchell and Kenneth Mitchell, all 
of Delta; two sisters, Mrs. Nonnie Miller of Delta and Mrs. Solena Nowles of 
Slocomb; five brothers, Gaston Miller of Alexandria, R.C. Miller of Lineville, 
J.J. Miller and Hilton Miller, both of Delta and Ercial Miller of DeArmanville; 
14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Wayne Adams, 
Ronnie Adams, Steve Mitchell, Johnny Johnson, Paul Johns, Randy Mitchell and 
Dale Mitchell. Mrs.-Mitchell was a lifelong resident of Clay County and a member 
of Good Hope Delta Baptist-Church. She was also a member of Rebekah Lodge No. 5.  
The body will remain at the funeral home until time of services.
