Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Emma Watwood Mitchell 77, at the Shiloh 
Baptist Church Tuesday, Elder B. B. Finley officiated. Blair Funeral Home was in 
charge and burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Mitchell died at Clay County 
Hospital Sunday following an illness of several years. She had resided with her 
daughter, Mrs. Faye Summerlin, for the past few years. She had lived in Clay 
County all her She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Erma Pryor, Garland. 
Texas, Mrs. Naomi Lester, Dallas. Texas, Mrs. Faye Summerlin, Delta; four sons, 
Clifton Mitchell, Gaither Mitchell, Dallas. Austin Mitchell, Lanett, Hilt 
Mitchell, Birmingham; brother. John Watwood, sisters, Mrs. A.B.J Summerlin, Mrs. 
Helen Phillips, 22 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
