Ashland Progress
Funeral service for Mrs. W.D. Mitchell, 75, well known Cragford woman who died 
Sunday, was held at the Christian church at Cragford, Tuesday, and interment was 
made in Wesobulga cemetery. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Geo. D.
Hunt, of Roanoke. Judge John Heflin, of Roanoke, who had known the deceased a 
long while, made an appropriate address. Surviving Mrs. Mitchell are eight sons 
and three daughters. She had been a widow some ten or twelve years.
