Mitchell, more familiarly known as "Uncle Dock" Mitchell, died at his old home four miles east of Bluff Springs Wednesday night. He had been suffering from a chronic disease for a long while and is said to have expressed himself at being ready to die. He was numbered among the county's splendid old citizens, being about 73 years old. His wife died about two years ago, but nine children survive him. The funeral services were held at County Line Baptist church. The county meeting of the Farmers Union was held at Midway in the western part of the county last Saturday and one of the most interesting sessions in the history of the county organizations is reported. The next county meeting will be held at High Pine.
