The former departed this earthly life Oct. 29, 1918, and Odus departed this same life on this earth the 31st of the same month. Both were young men just having entered into the full bloom of young manhood, and why they were taken from our midst so early we cannot understand, but we pray the will of God be done, and we realize that there was a purpose for the calling of these two brothers of course, it was sad for the loss of one, still sadder for the loss of both, and the Death Angel visited their home within such a close time. We realize that we cannot write or speak anything of benefit to the departed boys, however we are glad to say of them that they were friendly and hospitable all the time. It is the earth's loss, but we pray it. is heaven's gain. We can only point the bereaved parents, families, relatives, and friends to the throne, of God and His great power, if we only trust in Him, He will carry us through, if the right faith is in our hearts. We miss these two boys, and especially do we miss McKinley in the singing class. He had a talent for singing and delighted in it. He always looked at the cheerful side of life, thereby gaining many friends. Pear wives, I bid you to weep not after your departed husbands but put your faith in Christ and again someday you shall meet "Kin" and "Oad". May God console the hearts of the aged parents in their sorrow. We know not who may be called next. Will we be ready to go and meet these boys as they are waiting and friends, for those once loved forms now cold in death. Each mournful thought employ, we weep, our earthly comforts fled, and with all of our joys, but hope looks beyond the bounds of time, when what we now deplore, shall rise in full immortal prime and bloom to fade no more. Be reaved ones, be glad they are gone up there, ' For now "Kin" and "Oad", are free from trouble and care. and watching for some of their friends to come Grieve not, dear relatives.
