Services for Effie Moncus, 85, of Cragford, Rt. 1 will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the 
chapel of Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Dr. A. D. Langston 
officiating. Burial will be in the Clay County Memory Gardens. The family will 
receive friends from 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service. Survivors 
include two sisters, Bertha Kelly of West. Point, Ga., and Annie Pearl Lake of 
Mesquite; two brothers, Garil Burdette of Cragford and Johnny Burdette of Weaver; 
and several nieces and nephews. She was a native of Randolph County but lived 
most of her life in Clay County. She was a housewife and a member of the Cragford 
Baptist Church.
