Olive Baptist Church in Clay County with the Rev. Cecil Halsey officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home. Mrs. Moncus died Tuesday at Lee Manor Health Care in Opelika. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Helen Swartz of Cheney, Kan.; a son, Ronnie T. Moncus of Opelika; two sisters, Mrs. Faye Floyd of Anniston and Mrs. Marie Hammonds of Talladega; a brother, Phillip Oliver of Ashland; three grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren. Pallbearers were James McLain, Trans Oliver, Fred Jones, Scotty Spates, Larcus Spates and Bobby Stapler. Mrs. Moncus was a Clay County native and the daughter of the late Lumas and Virginia Vice Oliver. She had lived in the Roanoke area for the past 41 years, where she was employed at Palm Beach Co. She was member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, the Lebanon Homemakers Club and a member of the Sam and Sammie's Organization.
