Funeral services were conducted for Lavelle Dawes Moncus, 32, at the Pleasant 
Grove Baptist Church Friday at 11 o'clock The Rev. A. O. Burdette and the Rev. 
Reuben Birchfield officiated. Blair Funeral Home was in charge and burial was in 
the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Mr. Moncus was killed while working with Alabama 
Power Company near Abbeville. At the time he was residing in Eufaula. He is 
survived by his wife, Mrs. Mae Sims Moncus, whom he married one month ago; his 
parents Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Moncus, Rt. 2, Lineville; and one brother, Eugene 
Moncus, Lineville and Anniston.
