Feb. 26. The rites were conducted in the Goodwater Baptist Church last Saturday p.m. at 2 o'clock by Rev. S.H. Bennett, a former pastor, assisted by Rev. G.E Driskill of the local Methodist Church. She was buried beside her husband at Lineville, where both of them were reared. Her five sons and a son-in-law, T. H. Neighbors were active pall bearers. A beautiful feature of the funeral service was a solo, "There's No Night There" by her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jacob R. Moon. Dr. Moon died two years ago having lived to celebrate their golden wedding. Mrs. Moon looked forward to and talked of her reunion with him whom she had loved long since and lost awhile. Wife of a busy physician and mother of a large family, she was decidedly of the home keeping type. With many tasks and responsibilities, almost her only diversion was reading. She loved good books and she and her husband surrounded their family with what was sound and worthwhile in literature. Square dealing, pure minded, intelligent, utterly truthful, she wanted to stamp these traits upon her children and in them she has her reward. Modest and self-effacing she helped to fit them for places of usefulness and honor. Her husband was known in the gates and her children arise up and call her blessed. One daughter, Mrs. Frank McElvey of Columbus, Ga. died a year ago. The children surviving her are Miss Lulu, W.P. and John H. of Goodwater, Miss Frances of Columbus, Ga. Mrs. Fulton Pace of Gulfport, Col. Hartley A. and Mrs. B. M. Ohme of Montgomery, C.D. of Bham, Mrs. T. H. Neighbors of Clanton and Lieut. Jacob R. of Ft. Benning Ga, two sisters, two brothers and a number of grandchildren also mourn her loss.
