Ashland Progress
The entire community was deeply grieved over the death of G. T. Moore. Mr. Moore 
has perhaps lived in this community longer than any other man and will be greatly 
missed. He was active in church affairs and was ever ready to do his part in the 
upbuilding of the community. His wife preceded him in death a few years. He is 
survived by five children and several grandchildren. The children are, Ellis of 
La Mesa, Tex.; Olen, of Dallas, Tex.; Mrs. Oscar Bishop, of Wylam; Mrs. Lee 
McKay, of this place, and Curtis who resided with his father. Funeral services 
were conducted by Rev. C. B. Martin assisted by Rev. L. J. Graben. Interment was 
in the local cemetery with Blair in charge.

He is buried Barfield Cemetery, Clay County.
