Ashland Progress
Alice Ada Morris, 78, died last Saturday and was buried Sunday, December 28. She 
is survived by six children, Grady Morris, Wintergarden, Dewey Morris, Roanoke, 
and Mrs. W. D. Carpenter, Mrs. Aubrey Ward, Mrs. A. J. White and Mrs. K. White 
all of Ashland. Funeral services were held at Providence Church with Rev. W. B. 
Denney and Rev. Bruce Finley conducting the services. Blair Funeral Home was in 
charge. Pallbearers were the following grandsons Gordan Carpenter of Atlanta, Ray 
Carpenter of Wetumpka, Harold White and Morris White of LaFayette, Aaron White of 
Marietta, and James Morris of Auburn.
