Chambers County News
J. R. Morris of Cragford, died at his home May 1, 1943, after several months of 
illness. He was born in 1872 and married Miss Fannie Pearl Lashley in 1894. Five 
children were united to this family. He leaves to morning his death 4 children, 2 
sons and 2 daughters, Marshell Morris of Cragford, D. E. Morris of West Point, 
Rt. 6, Mrs. Bulah Carter of Lineville, Mrs. Audrie Blunt of Venango, also 13 
grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Four brothers, S. D. Morris of Cragford, 
Wyett Morris of Roanoke, Dock Morris of Hogansville, Jim Morris of Cragford, Ala. 
and a host of friends and relatives. Rev. J. W. Dean officiating Interment was in 
New Harmony Cemetery with Blair in Charge, Lineville Ala.
