Ashland Progress
Funeral rites of Dr. L. R. Morrison were held at Lystra Baptist Church on August 
23rd at 10 o'clock a.m., conducted by Elder H. H. Goodman, Elder B. B. Finley and 
Judge W. B. Nolen. Blair was in charge of arrangements Interment was in Lystra 
Cemetery. Mr. Morrison passed away at his heme on August 21st, after several 
years oi declining health. Pallbearers were Hoyt Roden, Max Morris, Henry 
Birchfield, Bob Morrison, Alton Morrison, Inon Morrison. Survivors are his wife, 
one son, B. L. Morrison, Ashland: live daughters. Mrs. Mae McKinnon, Panacea, 
Fla.; Mrs. Ruth Birchfield, Montgomery; Mrs. Myrtle Roden, Gadsden; Mrs. Claudie 
Alexander and Mrs. Max Morris, Ashland and six grandchildren.
