Delta. Ala., late yesterday afternoon by Emerson Pate, cross tie cutter, according to reports reaching Anniston today. Morrison, it was reported, had been shot through the head with a pistol. The pistol, which was discharged in Morrison mouth, was found on the ground beside the body Morrison was at home on a leave of absence from the state penitentiary, where he was serving a term on a charge of violating the prohibition law. He had served about a year and had about 12 more months facing him, friends said. The youth had been suffering from melancholia, friends explained, which was believed have been caused by his prison term. Surviving Morrison are his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Winston Morrison and five brothers and three sisters.
