Anniston Star
Mrs. Dixie Newell, 87, of Delta, died Saturday in Fairborn, Ohio. Services were 
scheduled today at 2 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with the Rev. Dee Hearst 
officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Blair Brown-Service 
Mortuary in charge. Survivors include three daughters Mrs. Mary Ruth Campbell and 
Mrs. Catherine Brooks, both of Fairborn, and Mrs. Effie Tate of Delta; three sons 
James A. Newell of Jacksonville, Grover Newell and Henry Newell, both of 
Fairborn; 28 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
