Funeral services for Miss R.L. Newsome 42, who died Wednesday afternoon at her 
home at Delta. Route 1 were held Thursday afternoon from the Goodhope Church. The 
Rev. Ed Turner conducted the services. Interment was at Good-hope Cemetery with 
Usrey in Charge.  Miss Newsome was a member of the Pyriton Church of Christ and 
lived there all her life. Surviving are her mother S.E. Newsome Delta and six 
sisters Mrs. Exia Miller of Delta, Mrs. J. E. Strickland of Pyriton. Mrs. Ola 
Strickland and Mrs. Dorane Moore both of Copeland Texas, Mrs. Mary Hunter of 
Delta and Mrs. Lula Kizer of Pyriton.
