Clay County Adavance
Mr. Jefferson Nichols, one of Clay's oldest citizens, passed away peacefully at 
his home three miles northeast of Lineville on last Sunday evening. He had been 
very feeble and infirm for several years and his death was not at all unexpected. 
He was some months over 76 years old and had been living in this country since 
1853. In his death the county loses an honest and upright citizen, and the 
democratic party a strong supporter.
