Ashland Progress
M. V. Nichols, well known Ashland citizen, died at his home a mile out from town 
on the Lineville highway, last night after an illness of about three weeks. His 
death had been expected by his family and friends for several days. The funeral 
will take place at the Baptist church, of which he was a member, this afternoon, 
Mr. Nichols was 65 years of age August 30. He is survived by his wife and three 
sons, J. T., J. E. and C. M. Nichols, all of whom are grown and married.
