Anniston Star
John Talmadge Nichols. 74. of Ashland, died Monday. Funeral services were today 
at 2 p.m. at the Mount Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Grady Birchfield and the 
Rev. Elmer Wheeles officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Ararat Cemetery with 
Blair Brown-Service Funeral Home in charge. Survivors include his wife. Mrs. 
Carrie Nichols; a daughter. Mrs. Ervis Davis of Birmingham: two sons. Howard J. 
Nichols of Ft. Myers, Fla. and Fred Nichols of Jasper: a sister. Mrs. Ethel 
Ingram, of Sylacauga: three grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.' 
Pallbearers will be Joe Ingram. L. B. Bowen, Seab Allen. Edwin Martin. J. P. 
Bowen. William Bowen and Walter McDonald.
