Services for Mrs. Carrie A. Nichols, 91. of Ashland will be today at 3 p.m. at 
Clay County Funeral Home with the Rev. Barry Graves and the Rev. Richard East 
officiating. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery. Mrs. Nichols died Friday at 
Clay County Hospital. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ervis I. Davis of 
Ashland: a son. Fred D. Nichols of Jasper; two sisters, Mrs. Maggie MacDonald 
and Mrs. Ethyl Martin, both of Ashland; a brother, William Bo wen, of Oxford; 
three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great 
grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Leon Fetner, Brooks Lee. Tim Mahan, David 
Nichols, Kelly Scott, David Story, Toby Story, and Tyler Story. Mrs. Nichols was 
a native of Polk County, Ga. and a longtime Clay County resident. She was a 
homemaker and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.
