She departed this life July 20, 1933. Her life was spent within two miles of her birthplace. She was married to E. M. Nix, December 22, 1887. To this union was born ten of whom eight survive. She is also survived by her husband and thirteen grandchildren, one brother, a host of nieces and nephews and friends. She was laid to rest in Union Church Cemetery. The Service Funeral Home in charge. The service was conducted by Revs. Tapley, Dunn and Laney. She joined the Missionary Baptist Church at the age of fourteen and was ever found at her master's work. She was the happiest when she was teaching the words of God. By her teaching much has been done toward the on-going of God's Kingdom. Her last few years have been a desire for her heavenly home, as pleasure awaited her there, and she would have no more bodily aches.
