Alexander City Outlook
Mr. T. J. Nix died at his home Wednesday, December 10, after an illness of eight 
months. Mr. Nix was a life-long resident of Tallapoosa County. He was borned 
January 31, 1876, and married to Miss Hulda Tidwell August 24, 1898. Funeral 
services were held Thursday afternoon from the Baptist Church in Motley. Rev. G. 
W. Hunt and Rev. Grady Birchfield officiating. Interment in Motley cemetery, Sam 
Anderson Funeral Home in charge. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hulda Nix; five 
children, two daughters, Mrs. Dessa Brown, of Wetumpka; Mrs. Bessie Merle Bice, 
of Alexander City; three sons, Brent, Clinton and Roy, of Goldville; twenty-two 
grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Roy Foreman, Leonard 
Smith, William Heyward, James and Robert.
