Jack Richard Nolen. 14, died Sunday in the University Hospital in Birmingham 
after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be this afternoon at 3 p.m. at the 
First United Methodist Church of Ashland with Rev. Allan Balch and Rev. John 
Collier officiating. Burial will be in the Ashland Cemetery, Blair-Brown Service 
Funeral Home directing. Surviving include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. DeForest 
Nolen of Ashland; two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Owens of Pensacola. and Miss Julia 
Farrow Nolen of Ashland; a brother, DeForest Rhyme Nolen of Auburn: his 
grandparents. Judge and Mrs. W.B. Nolen and a host of other relatives. 
Pallbearers will be his uncles, W.B. Nolen Jr., Dan R. Nolen, Jack Nolen, Charles 
Nolen and Jean Nolen, and a brother-in-law, Ricky Owens.
