Ashland Progress
Mrs. Clarice Phoebe Ogletree 82, wife of the late W. H. Ogletree, died at the 
home of her daughter, Mrs. Bertram C. Robertson, the night of Jan. 6. Funeral 
services were held for Mrs. Ogletree Sunday afternoon, Jan. 7, at the Lystra 
Baptist Church. Rev. C. S. Ray conducted the services. He was assisted by Dr. E. 
M. Causey. Burial was at the church cemetery with Blair directing. grandsons of 
the deceased served pallbearers. They were Clarence Ogletree, Boyd Morris, 
Seaborn Ogletree, Clarence Jones, Leonard and Lowell Ogletree. Mrs. Ogletree was 
the mother of six children, three sons and three daughters. On son, W.L. died in 
December of 1948. Surviving are Mrs. J. D. McCoy, Lineville S. W. Ogletree, 
Tifton, Ga., Mrs. D. A. Dawkins, St. Louis, Mo., T.J. Ogletree, Ashland, Mrs. 
Bertram G. Robertson, Lineville. Other survivors include one brother, Barney 
Rascoe of California, and numerous grandchildren and grandchildren.
