Lineville Headlight
Miss Emily C. Orr died at her home six miles east of Lineville Christmas eve and 
her remains were laid to rest at New Harmony Christmas Day.  She had been quite 
sick for several days and her death was not unexpected. The deceased was the 
sister of Mr. T. J. Orr, of this community, and of Mrs. R. H. McCain, of 
Talladega, and was the daughter of the late Jehu Orr, one of the pioneer citizens 
of Clay County. She was cultured, refined and a most estimable woman. She was a 
Christian who exemplified the teachings of her Master in her daily life. We offer 
condolence to the bereaved family.
