Lineville Headlight
W.C. Owens died Sunday night after lingering several days with pneumonia, He was 
taken while attending court in Ashland March 28th. It had been expected several 
days that he would not recover, and all relatives had been summoned. One son, 
Robert who was not able to be reached Mr. Owens was a substantial citizen of the 
county and highly esteemed by his neighbors. Those surviving are his wife, Mrs. 
Eula Pierce of Bessemer, Mrs. Lizzie Taylor of Birmingham Lee Owens Delta, Marvin 
and Wyatt Owen at home. Funeral services was conducted by Rev. G. E. Driskill at 
Blacks Chapel. Interment was in the Blacks Chapel cemetery. A large crowd was 
present to pay tribute the last time to his memory.
