Mrs. Lizzie J. Owens, 86, formerly of Clay County, died Monday morning at the 
home of her son, T. H. Owens of Birmingham. Funeral services were conducted this 
afternoon at the Providence Church near Delta, the Rev. S.J. Ingram officiating. 
Burial was in the adjoined cemetery. Mrs. Owens is survived by a daughter, Mrs. 
G. W. Graben of Pisgah; three sons, Thomas H. Owens of Birmingham, James L. Owens 
of Blue Mountain, and O. K. Mitchell of Delta; a stepdaughter Mrs. Ollie Rayford 
of Birmingham; a stepson, John T. Owens of Birmingham a sister Sally R. Brooks of 
Oxford her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Grandsons will act as 
pallbearers.
