Owens, 66, of 117 Smith St., died at Memorial Hospital about 9:30 last night following a short illness. A resident of Anniston the past 30 years, Mr. Owens was a former resident of Clay County, a member, of Providence Methodist Church and member of Woodmen of the World. Funeral services will be held at Providence Church Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock, with the Rev. Mr. Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the adjacent, cemetery, Gray Brown-Service in charge. Survivors include the widow Mrs. Fannie Owens; one son, William T. of Anniston, one daughter, Mrs. Rowena Goble, Cocoa, one brother T.H. Owens of Brimingham, one half-brother O.K. Mitchell of Anniston and John Owens, Birmingham; one sister, Mrs. Janie Graben of Pisgah Gap; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Active pallbearers will be Odd fellows of the Delta Lodge.
