Roberts Last services for James William Roberts, 74, of 7805 Second Ave S. will be held at 3:30 p.m. today at Brown Service Chapel. The Rev. Raleigh Green officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood. Mr. Roberts died Monday at the residence following a 16 month illness. A native of Lineville, he had lived in Birmingham since 1910. He formerly owned and operated a bakery and then a restaurant in East Lake before retiring in 1945. He was a member of Linville Methodist Church, Woodman of the World and Wahouma Masonic Lodge No 763. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Mattie Roberts; two daughters, Mrs. Leon M. Huff and Mrs. James Larson Anderson, both of Birmingham; three sisters, Mrs. Oscar Goss, Byron, Ga.; Mrs. Willis Robertson, Comanche, Tex.; and Mrs. Leella Wilder, Thomasville, Ga., and several nieces and nephews.
