Emory Clyde Padgett 79 of Valley died Friday at Lanier Memorial Hospital Langdale 
A funeral will be 11 am Monday at Johnson-Brown Service Funeral Chapel Langdale 
and a graveside funeral will be 1:30 pm Monday at Cragford Cemetery Clay County 
Mr. Padgett was born March 7, 1913 in Clay County son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin 
Padgett He was a Baptist and retired from Langdale Mill. Survivors include his 
wife Tonnie two daughters Shirley Daughtrey of Valley and Barbara Daniel of 
Huguley a son Marvin Padgett of Valley eight grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.
