Houston Parrish 85 died Wednesday at Lanier Memorial Hospital Langdale. The 
funeral will be 3 pm today at Motley Union Baptist Church with burial in the 
church cemetery Clay County Ala according to Johnson-Brown Service Funeral Home 
Langdale. Mr. Parrish was born March 11, 1890, in Tallapoosa County son of the 
late General and Senie Johnson Parrish He was retired from Lanett Mill Survivors 
include his wife Mrs. Alice Kilgore Parrish Lanett four daughters Mrs. Thomas 
Brooks Alexander City, Mrs. Tillery Detroit Mrs. Calvin Meggs Lanett and Mrs. 
Brown West Point Ga., two sons Dennis Parrish Alexander City, Henry Parrish 
Martua Ohio, two sisters Mrs. Nora Centell Anniston Ala., Mrs. Waldroup Alexander 
City, five grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
