Our Mountian Home
Funeral, services for Jay Parker, well-known farmer, were held Wednesday 
afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Concord Baptist church, near Pyriton. Rev. Frank 
Ingram, pastor, conducted the services. Interment was at the church cemetery, 
with Usery Undertaking company in charge. Mr. Parker is survived by his wife and 
nine children; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sims Parker, of near Lineville; and four 
brothers and two sisters. He was well known throughout this section. He was a 
good fanner, for the past two years having marketed the first bale of cotton in 
Talladega. He was killed instantly Tuesday afternoon in an automobile accident on 
the Lincoln highway.
