Ashland Progress
Mrs. Parker, wife of Rev. C. K. Parker, who formerly resided in this county, died 
at their home near Wedowee Monday morning at 10 o'clock. Her death was the result 
of measles. Mrs. Parker was about 40 years of age and is survived by her husband 
and seven children. She was reared in the Shiloh community, a few miles east of 
Ashland, being a daughter of Mr. John Macoy. Her remains were brought to the 
Shiloh cemetery for internment, the funeral service being held Wednesday 
afternoon, conducted by Rev. F. J. Ingram.
