Ashland Progress
Mr. N. L. Parker, age 74, of Palmerdale passed away Nov. 11th in a Birmingham 
hospital. Funeral services were held at Norwood Brown Service at ten o'clock 
Nov. 13th with Rev. H. E. Wright and Rev. L. E. Price officiating. The body was 
brought to Clay County, his former home and interred in Providence cemetery, 
with services conducted at the grave by Rev. J.N. Floyd, a former pastor. He is 
survived by two sons, H. D. Parker of Palmerdale, with whom he made his home and 
Howard Parker of Fla; one sister, Mrs. John Coleman of Cullman and several 
grandchildren. Those attending the funeral from other places besides his 
children were Mrs. Leon Dean, Mrs. Tom Bonner, Mrs. George Thigpen, Mrs. Porter 
Duke, Mrs. J. B. Duke, Mr. Frank Duke, Mr. W. H. Duke, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Oslin, 
Mrs. Johnson Hodges, and Mrs. Sadie Reeves.
