Ashland Progress
Mrs. Mary S. Parish died at her home near the southern border of the county 
Wednesday, December 14, after several weeks illness due to a stroke of paralysis. 
She was buried at Bethel cemetery following funeral services conducted by Rev. W.
M. Garrett of this city assisted by Rev. Grady Birchfield. Mrs. Parish was a 
widow 73 years of age. She is survived by three sons. L. B. Parish, of Wadley. H. 
Parish of Sikesville and W. I. Parish of her old home community and by two 
daughters. Mrs. S. Sentell of Ashland, and Miss Martha Ann Parish of the old home 
community.
